I want to give you the latest on DeepDive.

Things are really moving now. We’re getting closer to launch!

The app-building process has been initiated, and we’re working hard to get all of the course content for How to Write a Novel uploaded and situated for customers to use—more than 50 hours (!!) of never-before-heard instruction from dozens of today’s leading writers, including Melissa Broder, Steve Almond, Emily St. John Mandel, V. V. Ganeshananthan, Hannah Pittard, Lynn Steger Strong, Stephen Graham Jones, Porochista Khakpour, Antoine Wilson, Tod Goldberg, Deb Olin Unferth, Gina Frangello, Lydia Kiesling, Matt Bell, Vauhini Vara, Maya Binyam, Rita Bullwinkel, and many more.

Creating How to Write a Novel has been a huge undertaking, a group effort, and an absolute labor of love. It’s a big course meant for writers who are serious about getting their books done.

My aim in creating this company and this course is centered on two key ideas:

1.) To offer people enormous value, and

2.) To help them learn and realize their dreams.

I don’t mean to sound corny. I really mean it.

How to Write a Novel is a writing course that delivers the breadth and depth of an MFA-level education for a tiny fraction of the price.

The truth is, I could charge thousands of dollars for this course—but I won’t. I want it to be accessible to people who don’t have a lot of money, and whose free time is limited.

Why? Because I’ve been that person. I know what that’s like.

This is a course you can learn from while you’re grocery shopping, or riding the bus, or running on the treadmill. It’s a course that won’t require you to take out a crushing loan.

It’s also a course that can serve as your companion during the drafting process, a course that can accompany you throughout a calendar year and beyond.

We’re just a few weeks away now. And we can’t wait for launch.
